Month 1 was spent across Scotland — Edinburgh, Glasgow, the ferry to Dunoon, north through Stirling, Perth, Rosemarkie, and on into the Isle of Skye.
"I didn't want another rushed vacation. I wanted to be transformed."
When I packed my bags for what became an extraordinary 5-month sabbatical across Europe, friends told me I was brave. Traveling for nearly half a year meant navigating train strikes in Italy, finding quiet corners behind London's busiest museums, learning which neighborhoods feel like home, and realizing that the best travel isn't about seeing everything—it's about experiencing what matters deeply.
I started in Scotland — Month 1 was spent wandering Edinburgh's cobblestones and The Royal Mile, exploring Glasgow, then boarding the ferry to Dunoon before heading back through Glasgow to go north. Days unfolded through Stirling, riverside Perth, and the shell beaches of Rosemarkie, all the way onto the Isle of Skye. Castles, ancient kirks, and big, beautiful palaces everywhere I turned taught me that traveling well isn't about ticking off sights — it's about giving each day room to breathe.
I founded Voyage Planner Co. because too many travelers return from Europe exhausted by chaos and disorganization. So I turned the systems that kept my journey sane into beautiful digital tools — planners, packing lists, and journals — so you can travel with intention instead of overwhelm.
